La vendetta c'est la justice privée, hors de l'Etat. Comme dans ce roman De Balzac, en Corse, la vengeance d'un meurtre qui implique toute une famille. Court roman, très noir. Il porte bien son titre. Les protagonistes n'ont rien oublié des outrages et des drames du passé, fiers, orgueilleux, ils sont inflexibles et cette rigidité de caractère va tous les conduire au malheur et à un nouveau drame. Un livre très agréable à découvrir.
