"Le Roman de la Rose" est un poème allégorique médiéval en langue française écrit en deux parties par deux auteurs différents. La première partie a été rédigée par Guillaume de Lorris au XIIIe siècle, tandis que la deuxième partie a été complétée par Jean de Meun au XIVe siècle.La première partie est une ¿uvre poétique qui raconte le rêve d'un jeune homme qui entre dans un jardin enchanté, symbolisant l'amour courtois. Au centre de ce jardin se trouve une rose, symbolisant la dame aimée. Le poème explore les thèmes de l'amour, de la courtoisie et de la quête de l'amour parfait.La deuxième partie développe davantage les thèmes amorçés par Guillaume de Lorris.
