Frank Barry is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Boston Harbor Campus. He has held teaching credentials in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and California. He credits his seminary education for being chosen as a linguist in the United States Air Force (Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Hebrew Languages). He has retired from teaching high school English and English as a Second Language and Workplace English instructor in companies throughout Southern California. He volunteers his time with the Kiwanis Clubs of Greater Anaheim and Greater Westminster and advises Key Clubs - the high school service organization of Kiwanis. He is current secretary of VVA Chapter 1024 in Orange, CA and part of the Huey helicopter crew that travels with the helicopter throughout Southern California raising funds for all veterans. He is secretary of the Westminster Community Foundation. He is advisor to the Vietnamese Heritage Museum. His previous four books (The Seeds Quartet) are all related the lessons he learned during four major acts of his life: The Seminary Seeds, The Military Seeds, The Education Seeds, and The Service Seeds.

Patrick Brennan, the main character in the previous three books of the Seeds Quartet, The Seminary Seeds, The Military Seeds, and The Education Seeds, is again on the road to discover meaning in his life. Patrick has just retired from 40 years of teaching and is deciding what to do with his time. He has always lived a life of service as an altar boy and seminarian, an Air Force Linguist, and a teacher. Patrick comes to the realization that his legacy will be what he has done for others and how he has impacted their lives.

Patrick Brennan, the main character in the first book of the Seeds Quartet, The Seminary Seeds, Life's Lessons Learned in the Seminary, is again on the road to find out. He has just separated from the U.S. Air Force and has taken an overseas out and living for a month on the Island of Mykonos, Greece. As in the first book, he finds a mentor, someone he can talk to about his plans for the future. He is Peter Papakostas, a goat herder. But as Patrick discovers, Peter is more than that. Peter listens and questions Patrick on this journey of discovery to an awareness that the military has prepared him well for that next step in life. Patrick again comes to the realization that all experiences both positive and negative can be useful and that seeds planted and nurtured can bloom into a meaningful life.
