Sunday Scrabble - which is played by arranging nine store-bought, off-the-shelf, Scrabble boards into a composite three-board by three-board (forty-five-square by forty-five-square) mega grid and combining the corresponding nine standard bags of one hundred tiles each into a single Sunday bag of nine hundred tiles all told - gets even better and better as you vary the minimum word-width from the classic two letters to seven letters, one more letter at a time. So says the author after 120, two-person games of Sunday Scrabble while meticulously recording the turn-by-turn results. Games 1-20 play two-letter words on up. Games 21-40 play three-letter words on up. Games 41-60 play four-letter words on up. Games 61-80 play five-letter words on up. Games 81-100 play six-letter words on up. This series of self-described, self-help books is more than just a collection of collections of word puzzles, in the English language. It is a fun and effective way to progressively assimilate the entire vocabulary of the English language, at your own pace, one word-length at a time, five-letter words (and phrases) on up. The author obsessively digested dozens of English dictionaries into massive lists of words, arranged each of the respective lists into alphabetical order, and then scrambled the spellings multiple times. Each book is dedicated to a single length of word, but only up until words and phrases twenty-one letters long, with thousands and thousands of puzzles up front, and the solutions in back. There are three books for the longest words and phrases, with the first third of the anagrams/solutions in the first volume of the trilogy within the collection, the middle third in the second volume, and the rest bringing up the rear in the third volume. The solutions are in alphabetical order, which gives away the fact that the solutions to the first anagrams begin with the first letter of the alphabet and the solutions to the last anagrams begin with the last letter of the alphabet. Moreover, one anagram is solved on each page, which practically gives away the solutions to the anagrams immediately before it and immediately after it. It always seemed odd to me that schools do not teach all the one-letter words first, all the two-letter words second, all the three-letter words third, and so forth. It is worth a try.

The computer ignores so-called "white space" except as the blanks, tabs, newlines, formfeeds, and comments separate tokens. As a consequence, only the rare coders - in fact, maybe only the elusive "code poets" - are fastidious about how they are visually presenting in their code. The rub is that the worst torture anyone can inflict upon a coder is making him or her read another coder's code. Such as during the the "code walk-throughs" which are part and parcel of the software development process performed at industrial scale. Enter the so-called "code stylist" - akin to the "food stylist" whose calling is to make a dish look good for the camera. Code reviews are arguably more effective after a code stylist has dressed up the code and maybe even colorized it. C and Java are encrypted into 1's and 0's but Javascript abounds in clear text. Using what is available, Francis Gurtowski tries his hand at code rendering. He offers sample source code and a corresponding keyword cross reference in a single volume.
