    «Le Foyer Breton » est un recueil de dix-sept contes recueillis par Émile Souvestre. Collectées ou non, elles sont indéniablement devenues un aspect important et fascinant du folklore breton au fil des années. Charles Émile Souvestre (1806- 1854 ) est un écrivain français. Il passe une grande partie de sa vie entre Nantes et Paris et écrit de nombreuses histoires en lien avec la région bretonne, par exemple le célèbre conte « La Groac’h de l’île du Loch » traduit dans plusieurs langues dont l’anglais ou encore son roman intitulé « La Chouannerie ». Malheureusement, sa liste d'œuvres n’est pas aussi longue qu’elle aurait pu être, puisque Charles Émile Souvestre est mort plutôt jeune à cause d’une maladie.
