243,95 kr. A groundbreaking book about how to harness the power of collaboration and work most effectively in groups—coauthored by Getting Things Done’s David AllenWhen Getting Things Done was published in 2001, it was a game changer. By revealing the principles of healthy high performance at an individual level, it transformed the experience of work and leisure for millions. Twenty years later, it has become clear that the best way to build on that success is at the team level, and one of the most frequently asked questions by dedicated GTD users is how to get an entire team onboard.By building on the effectiveness of what GTD does for individuals, Team will offer a better way of working in an organization, while simultaneously nourishing a culture that allows individuals’ skills to flourish. Using case studies from some of the world’s largest and most successful companies, Team shows how leaders have employed the principles of team productivity to improve communication, enable effective execution, and reduce stress on team members. These principles are increasingly important in the post-pandemic workplace, where the very nature of how people work together has changed so dramatically.Team is the most significant addition to the GTD canon since the original, and in offering a roadmap for building a culture of healthy high performance, will be welcomed by readers working in any sized group or organization.

73,95 kr. Imagine one day you are a paramedic trying to bring people back from the dead, and the next day they are coming back from the dead by themselves, then trying to bite you. This is what has happened to Phil Watts. Now he is holed up in a looted superstore, besieged by thousands of zombies. Knowing he is probably going to die Phil writes his Last Will and Testament although the only possessions he has are the clothes he is wearing, a Glock pistol with two rounds of ammunition and two blow up sex dolls he has promised to rescue. This story is about how he came to be here, and what happens next. Contains explicit language, violence and sex with dead people. What more could you ask for? In a world where even your own family might come back from the dead and try to kill you, who do you turn to for help? You ring 999 of course! Unfortunately for you the Paramedics and Police of Plymouth have decided that self preservation comes first, and fun comes a close second. Patients and people in difficulty come along way down on the list of priorities. Shooting, clubbing and even bullfighting have replaced the drugs and defibrillators of the Ambulance Service in this short but very funny novel by a man who has, apparently, spent many a night shift with his colleagues planning their response to a zombie outbreak.

- One Pastor's Calling to Help 25 Million Believers Find Theirs
183,95 kr. Through the centuries, Christians have accepted Baptism and Communion. But what about that forgotten tradition of Scripture to empower every believer, from pastors to pew-sitters - Ordination? Being called by God - what Ordination literally is according to Scripture - has nothing to do with pastoring a church and everything to do with one's personal, specific, God-given assignment for life. Five Rivers Ministries founder David Allen penned Set the Christians Free to remind believers that we are called to perform "greater works than these" and to inspire 25 million believers to discover and embrace their God-given callings, then go out and do the greater works they are called to do. Miracles are meant to happen outside the four walls of the church, and the Holy Spirit is raising up a generation that says, "Here am I, Lord! Send me!" Set the Christians Free is the rallying-cry-in-a-book for these 25 million believers. Are you one of them?

- The life and legacies of Sir Francis Galton
108,95 kr. This book is about the life and legacies of Sir Francis Galton. This Birmingham born Victorian polymath made important discoveries and inventions across a wide area of knowledge, including exploration, statistics, meteorology and fingerprinting. However, the main focus of his life's work was on the understanding of heredity, and its application to what he called 'eugenics', the science of good breeding. He suggested that the quality of a particular race - and by extension the whole human species - could be improved over several generations, by encouraging the procreation of the eminent, and discouraging the procreation of the less well-endowed. Unfortunately, these ideas were adapted by various groupings - notably the Nazis in Germany - in an inhuman way. Galton's name and achievements were tarred with the same brush and, as a consequence, were not to be mentioned in polite society. Fast forward to today, however, and we see how many important issues, from birth control through education, unemployment and racism to assisted dying - are rooted in eugenics. David Allen argues that it is time to re-examine what Galton actually said and, in the process, restore the reputation of this inspiring Brummie.

- What The Bible Teaches
113,95 kr. There are many concisely written and repeated teachings in the bible that most clergy and church members cannot reconcile: Did you know that Jesus repeatedly taught that "many" who call Him Lord will be shocked to learn that He will not allow them into His kingdom? Did you know Jesus told people who were trying to come to terms with who He claimed to be, to stop, as He explained that "no one is able to come to Him unless the Father enables them"? How can Jesus' statements be true and yet be in harmony with Peter's teaching that God desires that not one person should perish? Did you know that Jesus forgave many who never asked, while others who asked Him in faith did not necessarily receive His promise? Jesus strictly forbade His disciples from teaching others that He was the Christ and then instructed them to go and preach? What then did they preach? Did you know that John the Baptist, the apostles and Paul could not figure out who Jesus was? What is their testimony regarding where their faith came from? Did you know that Jesus said that those with the revelation of God's will would be more accountable than those who did not know? Did you know that Jesus said "whoever believes in me will do the work I have been doing." When asked why He did not intend to show Himself to the whole world He replied, "those who love me will be doing as I am doing." So what is Jesus' explanation of 'belief, trust and faith'? Given so many unsettling questions, can we be 100% certain of forgiveness for accepting Jesus as Savior while glossing over many of the other consistent teachings? Let us consider that Jesus, Paul, Peter and John understood perfectly what they were communicating, and so can we, without twisting, omitting or placing greater emphasis on some scriptures over others. Discover that God has a greater purpose in creating each of us than to sing songs, acknowledge our failures and ask for forgiveness.

258,95 kr. There are 21 vital topics in the bible. We have assembled manuscripts of each topic that are in most cases lists of scriptures associated with the subject and listed by which inspired author wrote on the subject. For example 'the gospel.' The gospel was presented back in the days of Moses. God, John the Baptist, Jesus, John, Peter, Paul and others all taught on the subject of the gospel. What did they teach and who said what? It is absolutely fascinating to read assembled lists on a specific topic by different inspired teachers in the bible. I thought I had a near complete biblical understanding on all of the vital bible topics. But revisiting the bible scriptures in this 'stick to the subject' and 'who said what' format heightened my understanding on every subject...I was often surprised by what I didn't know on a given topic.

103,95 kr. Throughout this short but very informative book I intend on showing and revealing to you, the reader, that by switching words, using synonyms or understanding certain definitions just how easy it is to understand the totality of what Neville himself had learned and what he taught. After years of reading Neville Goddard books I made a discovery that I believe not many had made. I didn't make this discovery after one or two readings. After reading hundreds of metaphysical books, I decided that Neville was the teacher for me. But I also knew there was more to his books than the average reader was seeing. It came to me after years of study and application of certain principles that what he was talking about was BELIEVING WORDS. BELIEVING THOUGHTS. I have read his 10 books so many times I have lost count. With each reading it became clearer and clearer what the underlying foundation of what he was teaching was. I hope by the end of this book, the reader is convinced and can see for themselves, that Neville was indeed telling you that BELIEF IS THE SECRET. As long as you have an understanding of the definitions of certain words and or synonyms this should be easily grasped.
