Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Kulturwissenschaften - Allgemeines und Begriffe, Note: 2.0999999, Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: (Diese Diplomarbeit ist auf deutsch)AbstractThree terms: freedom, democracy and constitutional state have a great meaning in modern political discussions and the ideas represented by them form an interrelated complex. Nowadays there is no possibility to lead political discussion without referring, at least nearly, to the intrinsic meaning of such terms. The subject and the relationships between freedom, democracy and constitutional state will be critical examined in this paper, which has three chapters corresponding to these main terms. Diverse topics that stand in manifold relations are discussed in every chapter. The arrangement of this paper should be seen first of all as a structural help, because of the fact that the terms imply and determinate each other. This complexity of freedom, democracy and constitutional state means also that a separate consideration of one of these terms can not be sufficient, because many aspects are context-related. The analysis focuses on critical scrutiny. This paper takes into consideration possible negative consequences if the freedom, democracy and constitutional state are not implemented simultaneously into a policy. Generally it is attempted to show that the development of a state can take unintended and questionable course if the importance and complementary functions of these three state building approaches are neglected.
