Eine Möglichkeit derErhaltung der biologischen Vielfalt leisten die zoologischen Gärten, in denen bedrohte Tierarten durch die Unterbringung in menschlicher Obhut, die Fürsorge des Pflegepersonals genießen dürfen. Die Pfleger kümmern sich um das Nahrungsangebot, die Unterhaltung der Tiere und um deren Wohl, was zur Folge hat,dass Tiere in Gefangenschaft eine höhere Lebenserwartung aufweisen, als Tiere in freier Wildbahn.Tierschutzbestimmungen und Gesetze sollen Einblicke in die Rechtswelt der Tierrechte ermöglichen, damit die Kritik der Zoogegner nachvollziehbar wird. Die Tierethik und die verschiedenen philosophischen Ansatzmöglichkeiten, die das Recht der Tiere begründen, runden das Thema ab. Das Ziel der theoretischen Sachanalyse ist eine komplexe Zusammenfassung zu schaffen, mit dessen Hilfe man die Ergebnisse der empirischen Umfrage sachlich argumentiert begründen kann. Die Studie soll Aufschluss darüber geben, ob der zoologische Garten auch bei den befragten Probanden in einem Konfliktfeld von kontroversen Meinungen eingebettet ist. Es soll darüber hinaus gezeigt werden, dass unter den Probandengruppen Meinungsverschiedenheiten vorhanden sind. Die Einstellung einer befragtenPersonengruppe kann durch das Ankreuzen des Fragebogens mit anschließenderAuswertung, identifiziert werden.Im Anschluss an den theoretischen Teil wird auf die Evaluation eingegangen. Das beinhaltet den exakten Aufbau und die genaue Entwicklung des Fragebogens, sowie die verschiedenen chronologisch geordneten Schritte der Durchführung. Die daraus resultierenden Erkenntnisse dieser Arbeit werden durch die vergleichende Studie hervorgebracht. Die differenten Ergebnisse werden anschließend im Schlussteil interpretiert und sachlich mit Hilfe der Theorie begründet.
