This collection of songs (Wq 200) by C.P.E. Bach was compiled in the last year of the composer's life and published the year after he died. It contains 21 songs and a cantata for solo voice and keyboard. The German texts, drawn from a variety of poets, are translated and published in this volume.

This volume contains twenty secular songs (first published in 1762, that C.P.E. Bach wrote over the course of two decades, and includes three revised versions and English translations of the complete texts by Pamela Dellal.

Part III consists of an annotated collection of the principal literary documents (1791-1839) that illuminate the fascinating early history of the Requiem.The book concludes with a complete edition of the work that is at the center of Wolff's study, the authentic score of the Requiem-Mozart's fragment-supplemented by crucial excerpts from Süssmayr's 1792 Requiem completion.
