567,95 kr. Charles Pearson is an eighty-five-year-old man who was raised by a single and very religious mother. She was a very religious person who was active in her church all her life. She remained single until Charles was a senior in high school, devoting her life to Charles and his three brothers. She was the most influential person in Charles's early life. She tried her best to bring Charles up to be a believer in Christ and was mostly successful in that effort, although Charles was not very cooperative in that endeavor. Fortunately, Charles married a very wonderful wife who continued in that effort during their marriage, which has now lasted for sixty years. Consequently, Charles attended church most of his adult life and in fact ended up being a deacon in a Baptist church. This lasted ten years.Charles moved his family around a lot during his working years, and they were members of several different denominations of churches. At different times, they were members of Methodist, Presbyterian, Southern Baptist, and Christian churches. He became an avid student of the Bible, always seeking the truth of the words in it. This became a passion for him, and although he was committed to his family, he spent as much of his spare time pursuing that passion as possible. This book is the result of that lifetime of biblical study.Charles and Barbara have three children, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. They are the delight of their lives.

273,95 kr. The book titled ""The Substance of an Address Delivered by Charles Pearson: At a Public Meeting, on December 11, 12, and 18, 1843 (1844)"" is a collection of speeches delivered by Charles Pearson at a public meeting in December 1843. The book was published in 1844 and contains a detailed account of Pearson's address, which focused on the issues of social and economic inequality in society.Pearson was a prominent social reformer of his time and his speeches in this book reflect his concerns about the widening gap between the rich and poor. He argued that the current economic system was not sustainable and that urgent measures were needed to address the growing inequality. The book is divided into three parts, each containing Pearson's speeches delivered on different days of the public meeting. The first part of the book deals with the causes of poverty and the need for social reform. Pearson argued that poverty was not the result of individual laziness or moral weakness, but rather the result of systemic economic and social inequalities. The second part of the book focuses on the role of the government in addressing poverty and inequality. Pearson argued that the government had a responsibility to provide basic social services such as education, healthcare, and housing to all citizens, regardless of their economic status. The third part of the book deals with specific policy proposals for addressing poverty and inequality. Pearson suggested measures such as progressive taxation, land reform, and the establishment of cooperatives to empower workers and reduce economic inequality.Overall, ""The Substance of an Address Delivered by Charles Pearson"" is an important historical document that provides insight into the social and economic concerns of the mid-nineteenth century. Pearson's speeches in this book are still relevant today, as many of the issues he addressed continue to be relevant in modern society. The Late John Travers, In The Chair.
