128,95 kr. Loosely based and reminiscent of my own schooldays in Ispat English Medium School, Sector-20, Rourkela (Referred to as the Public School in the book), 'The Next Door Raghu' is the story of the extraordinary feats of a very ordinary, reticent, and apparently dull child, by the name of Raghu. Raghu has a lower middle class parental background and is frowned upon by the society as a dimwit who is not going to be of any consequence in his life. The little child and his perceived as unfortunate parents, are often the butt of jokes and snide remarks by an acerbic and sadistic society that has almost written off the disingenuous child. Raghu also starts to believe in his detractors and thinks that he really is inferior and substandard. But, Raghu tries to underplay and overcome all his shortcomings by latching onto children, who he feels can make up for his lacunae. As life goes on for the unassuming, but wily and scheming little child, he discovers a few gifts from God that he is blessed with, that sets him apart from the rest of the world. Although still humble and unassuming, the little child uses his special gifts to save the lives and the property of the people of his town, namely Rourkela in Odisha, India, on two occasions, thereby catapulting the once ugly duckling of the town into superstardom. Raghu becomes a national and international celebrity, much to the joy of his supporters, and much to the chagrin of his detractors and doubters. The rollicking adventure story of the little child and his band of faithful and intrepid friends, is very intriguing, inspirational, entertaining, and also tremendously funny and hilarious, and should appeal to people of all age groups. It should be a treat for children, and also adults interested in some wholesome and entertaining literature.

- A Tale of Two Islands
143,95 kr. "Lying In State" is a suspense and action thriller with a philosophical bent to it. It is strictly for adults only and is not suitable for anyone under the age of twenty-one years. It is the 'Tale of Two Islands', Idyllia and Megaloman. The remote and secluded island nation of Idyllia, happens to lie on a huge reserve of gold running in humongous veins in the sanctuary located in its tribal regions. The treasure is guarded by the fierce 'Kavi Poison Bandaar'. The regional bully and superpower, the island nation of Megaloman, wages a dirty and covert war against Idyllia in a bid to usurp its natural gold deposits. Only 'Grand Officier' Koba Mfapo, Lt. General Alfred Mutombiki of the M 23 guerrilla group, the prehistoric 'Kavi' tribe of Idyllia, and two former French Foreign Legionnaires, stand in the way of the unscrupulous and ignominious Megalomans and their hideous and macabre intent. The Megaloman dirty tricks and proxy warfare techniques are met with resolute gallantry and some ingenuous war tactics by Koba, the M 23 guerrillas led by General Mutombiki, and the 'Kavis'. They are assisted by the two Frenchmen, who themselves had also been victims of the unethical, immoral, and the sadistically ruthless Megalomans and their vile and treacherous ways . It is a story of the improbable and the implausible and is told at a scorching pace. The intrigue and the suspense are intense and the mystery just deepens, compounds, and magnifies as we read on......

- A Collection of Traditional English Poetry
173,95 kr. THE ONAM RHYME AND OTHER PASSAGES FROM TIME- is a compendium of Traditional English Poetic Works (As opposed to Modern Poetry). This book is a meandering journey through a multitude of emotions and insights, ranging from the sublime and exhilarating, to the dark and depressing. This book, like life, is painted in shades of grey, where the light blends in with the shadows, and black merges into white forming shades of grey at the borders where they meet. There is nothing called absolute joy and neither absolute sorrow, no absolute victory and neither absolute defeat in life. Everything is relative and are governed by the laws of relativity as expounded by science too. Nobody is perfect and nobody is completely flawed too. Everything is ephemeral and temporary including our emotions too. The only thing that is permanent in this world is His Eternal Grace which is boundless and unending. The central message of this collection of poetry is the divesting of the self from the temporal and the ephemeral and attaching the self firmly with the eternal, which is His Mysterious Grace. I sincerely hope that the readers shall find this collection to be worth their while.
