The importance of this classic text can be known from the fact that despite being only a part of the epic Mahabharata, it has been given the status of an Upanishad. This holy book is a treasure trove of spiritual knowledge. How to live a blissful life? How to get out of any kind of dilemma in life? The full explanation can be found in Shrimad Bhagavad Gita through Jnanayoga and Nishkaam Karmayoga. By reading it, understanding it, and applying it in our lives, life can be made more meaningful. Originally written in Sanskrit, this holy book has seven hundred verses. Nowadays, people have difficulty understanding the Sanskrit language, so through this book, Arvind Kumar has tried to present it in simple Hindi in the form of chaupai.

The Research carried out with the Pharmcognostical investigation which included Organoleptic, microscopical and physico-chemical evaluation i.e. ash values, extractive values, moisture content, swelling index, foaming index and foreign organic matter content.Further coming to the phytochemical studies, successive soxhlet extraction revealing the yield of the plant drug in different solvents. The root part of Bauhinia variegata was extracted using ethanol media and obtained extract was subjected to pharmacological study by experimental animal models.Bauhinia variegata (root part) plant extract concluded anticonvulsant activity using MES induced convulsant models in rats. Thus the investigations, in reference confirmed that the root part of Bauhinia variegata had potential anticonvulsant activity. However, further research on detailed pharmacological screening, isolation of active phytoconstituents responsible for its various therapeutic activity and clinical study for evaluation of safety and efficacy of the drug need to be assessed in future.

The Ayurveda products have been found effective in many rare diseases, but the standardization gives demerit to these products. The effective standardization protocol remains a bottleneck for drug discovery scientists. In the sequence of the Ayurveda formulation, the polyherbal Churna has been tried for the development of the churna method. The Central Council for Researching in the Ayurveda field has guided for the general standardization, which is taken as a reference for the standardization protocol. Herbal formulation standardization are necessary for accessing the quality of drugs belongs to the concentration of active principles, physical and chemical standards. In the present work standardization of churna of poly herbal formulations used for anxiolytic is reported. Also, the marketed sample that was used commercially was matched with the prepared formulation and the same results were obtained after standardization. The parameter was selected and noted enough for evaluating the study of churna and reference standard for the quality control and assuring purpose.

This two-volume set discusses recent approaches and technological innovations for sustainable agriculture in smallholder farming systems impacted by climate change. The systems covered include crop-based agricultural production, as well as aquaculture and livestock production as related systems using similar techniques to combat food security issues brought about by climate change and resource overuse. The chapters detail innovations involving crop diversification, soil resilience management, geoinformatics and land suitability monitoring for smart farming, information technology in livestock production, and nutrient resource management in fishery aquaculture. Researchers, practitioners and industries will be able to use this information to implement socially and economically sustainable practices to achieve food security in impoverished areas vulnerable to climate change, while also learning about the rapid evolution in information technology that is applicable for and available to small holder farmers.   Volume 1 focuses on current innovations in agricultural and livestock practices in response to climate change. It covers the technological challenges, approaches and mitigation strategies encountered by both scholars and practitioners working in livestock and agricultural production systems impacted by climate change.

Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) grown on 30.6 million hectare area, occupies 72% area in NWPZ & NEPZ and 17% in CZ of India. During the period of green revolution its production increased by more than five times from 12.26 MT in 1964-65 to 93.50 MT in 2015-16. The present productivity of wheat is 3093 kg/ha in the country, which could be attributed to adoption of high yielding input responsive varieties and improved agro- management technologies. Among different agro-inputs, fertilizers alone contribute about 40 % in the productivity of wheat. In some parts of the country, wheat productivity is stagnant and in few parts it is declining. One of the main reason for stagnant/declining productivity is degrading soil health specially reduction in soil organic matter (SOM) content. Hence, it is imperative to improve the soil organic matter (SOM) through various means of cultural practices. The adoption of conservation agriculture (CA) practices, which involves zero tillage and residue management could be helpful to improve the SOM consequently maintain the soil health and thereby increase the productivity and profitability of rice-wheat cropping system.

Scientific Study from the year 2014 in the subject Biology - Botany, grade: 100.00, Meerut Institute of Technology, language: English, abstract: We carried out research out with the topic of tissue culture technology for the large scale and sustainable production of quality planting material of elite medicinal plants and developped a database of Indian medicinal plants with the following objectives: (1) Establishment of tissue culture protocol for seven medicinal plants. (2) Standardizing the physicochemical conditions for large-scale in vitro multiplication. (3) Standardization of various media types and growth regulators. (4) Studying the competency of in vitro plants to sustain the subculture durations. (5) Collection of data of medicinal plants for creating a database (an online webpage). (6) Compiling and designing of database. (7) Publishing the database online. Medicinal plants are the great natural resources but due to lack of knowledge, arbitrary use and lack of conservation measures many important medicinal plant species are becoming extinct, endangered and threatened. In the present research, micropropagation studies were carried out on ten medicinal plants, showed best respond in seven medicinal plants among them. Callus cultures and shoot cultures were successfully initiated on basal MS media supplemented with different plant growth regulators (2,4-D, NAA, IAA and BAP) of various concentrations. These can be beneficial aspect in future as for exporting or making available the plants to farmers of superior genotype. This would also facilitate in metabolite extraction and supply in drug industries. An online static database in the form of a web site was also created named as ¿MedDBase¿. This database facilitates the medicinal as well as tissue culture information of all Indian medicinal plants. The list contained Indian medicinal plants more than 5000, is retrieved from the NMPB site and arranged in Alphabetical order. This online database will help the scientific community to keep themselves updated with the research and development work being carried out for a particular medicinal plant. This will also help in reducing duplication/ repetition of same work.

Our understanding of oral microflora is rapidly growing and changing under the impact of new molecular technology and advance genomics tools. Undoubtedly one of the chief incentives for formulating sugar-free or sugar-low products is to improve dental properties and diminish carcinogenicity. The main opportunities for non-sugar sweeteners appear to lie in the expanding range of foods and especially drinks now on the market for adults, for whom the potential dental benefits are easy to discern. The genomics study of Streptococcus with reference to their interaction to sweeteners will unlock the mechanism of its infection and will open up the new avenues of finding better way to cure the disease and infection.

Human rabies is cent percent fatal disease of antiquity. It is acute encephalitis with fatal outcome and no effective cure.Prevention by immunization is the onlysolution as on date and the problem assumes significance due to fact that India continues to contribute 4 out of 5 rabies deaths in the world.Present study revealed the number of animal bite cases is on increasing trend while number of human rabies patient was static. There was uneven and irregular monthly distribution of human rabies patients.Males were more vulnerable than females.Children rabies cases were crucial as more number cases were converted into rabies cases. Rural and illiterate people were mostly victims. People working in fields i.e. farmers and labour are affected most is noteworthy. It was crystal clear that dog bitten cases were highest among animal bite as well as rabies cases. Class III degree bite was at most risk to get converted into human rabies cases.95% of victims were not taken any post-bite vaccination.Hydrophobia and aerophobia were pathognomonic signs shown by all victims.4.5% cases died of neuroparalysis due to Nerve tissue vaccination complication.
