153,95 kr. A.W. Pink was an English evangelist of Puritan and Calvinist background who lived in the 19th century. His work Antichrist is a complete collection of all the Bible's references to an antichrist figure, from both the Old and New Testaments. Pink first describes the nature of the Antichrist -- who he will be like, what his purpose is, etc. Then he works through all of the names used to describe the Antichrist in scripture (The Lawless One, The Son of the Morning, The Prince that Shall Come). He notes the "genius and character" of the Antichrist, compares him to Christ, and even outlines his doom. Before conversion, Pink was a member of an occult gnostic group, and so shows special interest in this dark, speculative subject, but his work is studied and replete with Biblical references. Not for the faint of heart, this book serves as both an informative study guide and a warning for modern Christians.

393,95 kr. Appropriately Genesis has been termed "the seed plot of the Bible," for in it we have, in germ form, almost all of the great doctrines which are afterwards fully developed in the books of Scripture which follow. This complete edition of Gleanings in Genesis is a thoughtful work on the old testament by evangelist and biblical scholar Arthur W. Pink. Gleanings in Genesis has been a popular published work for scholars and patrons of christianity for centuries. This important book is an excellent tool for use from both the pulpit and in sunday school classes.

Others have grappled with these mighty problems in days gone by and from their labors we are the gainers. While making no claim for originality the writer, nevertheless, has endeavored to examine and deal with his subject from an entirely independent viewpoint. We have studied diligently the writings of such men as Augustine and Acquinas, Calvin and Melancthon, Jonathan Edwards and Ralph Erskine, Andrew Fuller and Robert Haldane.* And sad it is to think that these eminent and honored names are almost entirely unknown to the present generation. Though, of course, we do not endorse all their conclusions, yet we gladly acknowledge our deep indebtedness to their works. We have purposely refrained from quoting freely from these deeply taught theologians, because we desired that the faith of our readers should stand not in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. For this reason we have quoted freely from the Scriptures and have sought to furnish proof-texts for every statement we have advanced. It would be foolish for us to expect that this work will meet with general approval. The trend of modern theology-if theology it can be called-is ever toward the deification of the creature rather than the glorification of the Creator, and the leaven of present-day Rationalism is rapidly permeating the whole of Christendom. The malevolent effects of Darwinianism are more far reaching than most are aware. Many of those among our religious leaders who are still regarded as orthodox would, we fear, be found to be very heterodox if they were weighed in the balances of the Sanctuary. Even those who are clear, intellectually, upon other truth, are rarely sound in doctrine. Few, very few, today, really believe in the complete ruin and total depravity of man. Those who speak of man's "free will," and insist upon his inherent power to either accept or reject the Saviour, do but voice their ignorance of the real condition of Adam's fallen children. And if there are few who believe that, so far as he is concerned, the condition of the sinner is entirely hopeless, there are fewer still who really believe in the absolute Sovereignty of God.

Attacks upon the Scriptures are meant to undermine the credibility of Christianity itself. Fortunately, unlike other faiths of the world, Christianity is founded upon historical events, to which the 66 individual books of the Bible attest to independently. Arthur W. Pink, in his clear, profound, and sharp style, aptly defends the foundations of faith in Scripture by innumerating the many and diverse reasons why the Bible is worthy of the belief of a man.

193,95 kr. As sparks flew upward, Christian prophets like Tozer, Lewis, Phillips and others, were flung as burning embers across the theological landscape of the last century. They smoldered, then ignited, with the flame of their torches feeding on the unseen, setting the very air on fire, lighting the way, seeking to astonish and awaken God's church through their pulpits and prophetic pens. Like the prophets of old, these refugees from yesterday wore a halo of sanctity, had long memories and a fierce loyalty to Truth; qualities that linger, indelibly stamped on our memories and imaginations. They stood in a howling theological wilderness like solitary prophets, weeping over a world becoming more and more empty of God. And, standing in the midst? The author of this Classic book - Arthur W. Pink.God was not and is not willing to allow the reality of Who He is or how He is to be experienced to be obscured by either nature, the heathen, the pagan or the fool. Through His revelation, He has made Himself known. Through God's revelation we understand that He is sovereign. This Classic book - Divine Covenants -- introduces and orients the reader to critical biblical/theological thinking about God and His Covenants -- with a clarity that fosters biblical thought and facilitates Bible comprehension. You won't be disappointed.A.W. Pink is consistently one of the best Bible scholars and this one is at the top of his writing. I have studied God's covenants for some time and this is by far the best single volume I've found. He's bold in his writings but solid in Scripture.

78,95 kr. Christ's first preaching seems to have been summarized in one short but crucial sentence, like that of John the Baptist before Him: "Repent ye: for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand" (Matthew 3:2; 4:17). It is not appropriate in a brief study such as this to discuss that most interesting topic, the Kingdom of heaven-what it is and what the various periods of its development are-but these Beatitudes teach us much about those who belong to that Kingdom, and upon whom Christ pronounced its highest forms of benediction.
