Arthur Schopenhauer (Danzig, February 22, 1788-Frankfurt, Kingdom of Prussia, September 21, 1860) was a German philosopher. Its philosophy, conceived essentially as a "think to the end" philosophy of Kant, Plato and is indebted to Spinoza, also serving as a bridge with Eastern philosophy, especially Buddhism, Taoism and vedanta.1 In his work later, from 1836, he presents his philosophy in open polemic against post-Kantian metaphysical developments of his contemporaries.

Arthur Schopenhauer (22 February 1788 - 21 September 1860) was a German philosopher known for his pessimism and philosophical clarity. At age 25, he published his doctoral dissertation, On the Fourfold Root of the Principle of Sufficient Reason, which examined the fundamental question of whether reason alone can unlock answers about the world. Schopenhauer's most influential work, The World as Will and Representation, emphasized the role of man's basic motivation, which Schopenhauer called will. His analysis of will led him to the conclusion that emotional, physical, and sexual desires can never be fulfilled. Consequently, he favored a lifestyle of negating human desires, similar to the teachings of ancient Greek Stoic philosophers, Buddhism, and Vedanta. Schopenhauer's metaphysical analysis of will, his views on human motivation and desire, and his aphoristic writing style influenced many well-known thinkers including Friedrich Nietzsche, Richard Wagner, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Erwin Schrödinger, Albert Einstein, Sigmund Freud, Otto Rank, Carl Gustav Jung, Leo Tolstoy, and Jorge Luis Borges.

So if you have to live amongst men, you must allow everyone the right to exist in accordance with the character he has, whatever it turns out to be: and all you should strive to do is to make use of this character in such a way as its kind and nature permit, rather than to hope for any alteration in it, or to condemn it off-hand for what it is. This is the true sense of the maxim--Live and let live. That, however, is a task which is difficult in proportion as it is right; and he is a happy man who can once for all avoid having to do with a great many of his fellow creatures.

The Art of Being Right: 38 Ways to Win an Argument is an acidulous and sarcastic treatise written by the German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer in sardonic deadpan. In it, Schopenhauer examines a total of thirty-eight methods of showing up one's opponent in a debate. He introduces his essay with the idea that philosophers have concentrated in ample measure on the rules of logic, but have not (especially since the time of Immanuel Kant) engaged with the darker art of the dialectic, of controversy. Whereas the purpose of logic is classically said to be a method of arriving at the truth, dialectic, says Schopenhauer, "...on the other hand, would treat of the intercourse between two rational beings who, because they are rational, ought to think in common, but who, as soon as they cease to agree like two clocks keeping exactly the same time, create a disputation, or intellectual contest."

"The Essays of Arthur Schopenhauer: On Human Nature" is a collection of philosophical essays written by German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer. The book contains a series of essays on various aspects of human nature, including love, sex, and morality. Schopenhauer's philosophy is heavily influenced by Eastern thought, particularly Buddhism, and he believes that the fundamental nature of existence is suffering. In the essays on love and sex, Schopenhauer provides a critical analysis of romantic relationships and argues that they are often driven by self-interest and the desire for personal gratification. He also presents a bleak view of human morality, suggesting that most people are motivated by egoism and self-preservation rather than a genuine concern for others. Overall, "The Essays of Arthur Schopenhauer: On Human Nature" provides a challenging and thought-provoking critique of human nature, encouraging readers to question their own assumptions about the nature of existence and the human condition.

Controversial Dialectic is the art of disputing, as to hold one's own, whether one is in the right or the wrong. A man may be objectively in the right, and nevertheless in the eyes of bystanders, and sometimes in his own, he may come off worst. For example, I may advance a proof of some assertion, and my adversary may refute the proof, and thus appear to have refuted the assertion, for which there may, nevertheless, be other proofs. In this case, of course, my adversary and I change places: he comes off best, although, as a matter of fact, he is in the wrong.
