Art Markham accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at the end of his sophomore year in college. His senior year he met his future wife Debbra, though neither knew it at the time. They have been married over 42 years. They have two fantastic daughters, and an awesome son-in-law. Shortly after graduating from college, Art started his professional career in finance, with a Silicon Valley defense contractor. After nine years, he answered the call of his childhood dream and adult secret desire. Art joined a local police department. The police department allowed many opportunities for personal growth. Art had opportunity in one assignment to write an anti-tobacco curriculum, author and illustrate a work book. But most of all Art enjoyed being the voice of consolation and comfort, when people were having their worst day. He also loved being the protector of the vulnerable.
