Why is the world so unfair? Where is God in the midst of the brokenness? Is there anything we can do?We know that in a fallen and broken world there will always be pain and poverty, sickness and sadness. Yet as followers of Christ, we are called to bring hope and healing to those who hurt. What, then, is our responsibility to alleviate human suffering this side of eternity? With so many needs everywhere we look, where do we start? One thing is certain: Our faith does not allow us to turn away. Our response to the least of these, Jesus tells us, impacts not just those in need but also our own hearts and potentially even our salvation. The Least of These brings together a collection of respected Christian thought leaders to provide a multifaceted look at the body of Christ's relationship and responsibility--both individual and corporate--to the marginalized of our society. Contributors include Lisa Rodriguez-Watson, David Hionides, Ben Virgo, Dennis Edwards, Brandon Washington, Jonathan Brooks, Daniel Aaron Harris, Danielle Strickland, Aubrey Sampson, and Christiana Rice. The Least of These is the third in a series of Kingdom Conversations, books that bring together trusted Christian voices to address some of the most urgent and perplexing challenges of our time in timeless and redemptive ways.

You feel it, deep in your bones: God is inviting you to join Him, to participate in His redemptive work in the world. And yet, as a woman leader, you face so many potential obstacles. Lack of clarity over your unique calling. Competing time demands. Changing seasons of life. Challenges such as self-doubt, criticism, and spiritual dryness. With nearly 30 years of ministry experience, Angie Ward knows firsthand the unique challenges that women leaders face as they seek to pursue their calling. In I Am a Leader, Angie explores the concept of 'calling' as it applies specifically to women leaders -- those women of influence both in Christian ministry and the broader world: What is calling? How do you discover it? And what does it look like to live out that calling practically amid a multitude of challenges? Thoroughly researched, theologically and biblically integrated, and uniquely personal, I Am a Leader will resonate no matter where you are on the calling journey: whether you are wondering about your God-given purpose; sensing an inkling of an invitation to a particular ministry; or embarking on the path but encountering challenges.

Ryan's Recovery: The Darkest Before the Dawn takes you on a journey of almost twenty years in time, starting in 2000 and ending in 2019. It is a story of heartache to triumph and everything in between, raising an autistic child. Ryan Ward went from being diagnosed as severely autistic with only echolalic speech, no need for human affection, and no understanding of the world around him, to becoming an artist and a working adult with high-functioning autism. The time line starts in the midst of recovery protocols and goes back in time to reveal the entire story. It is a story of climbing out of complete despair, confusion, and depression, to standing up and making a difference. It truly shows you what it takes to put someone first in your life in every aspect. Everyone will say they put their children first, but when it comes to special-needs children, this phrase takes on an entirely different meaning. The book guides you through special diets, homeopathic protocols, several different therapies such as OT, PT, sensory, visual, behavioral, chiropractic, and craniosacral. It also touches on battles with school authorities, IEP meetings, and bullying. The story also shows how autism has the ability to interfere with marriages, relationships with other children in the family, social life, and just plain daily living. It does, however, also send the message that if you put your mind, heart, and soul into anything you want to accomplish, that nothing is impossible. It is a story that proves that when presented with a mountain that looks too high to climb, you find a way to tunnel under the mountain, go around the side of the mountain, or fly over it if you have to; but you never ever give up. In the end, the story will show you that no matter which way you choose to get to the other side of the mountain, you will indeed get there, and when you do, the feeling of accomplishment and pride in what you have done makes all the difficult times in the past only a stepping stone that got you there. What seemed impossible twenty years ago has now become reality, and walking through this journey with my now adult son has made me a stronger person and given me the confidence to know there is nothing that can't be obtained with the correct professionals, friends, family, and love.

The purpose of this book is to disclose what God says about His "truly born again" believers and unveil the marks and evidences by which we can know if we belong to God or not. In 1 John 3:10 the author writes, "By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother." We have the misconception that to question our salvation is a bad thing, but it's Scriptural. By establishing a solid foundation in this matter, my prayer is that you might be able to take hold of these truths and examine yourself, ".to make certain about His calling and choosing you;." (2 Pet. 1:10). In this new light, you can look at your personal experiences at the time of your "salvation" and evaluate your life against the plumb line of the Scriptures. 1Corinthians 1:26-29, "For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things that are strong, and the base things of the world and the despised...that no man should boast.." This is my qualifications, weak, despised, foolish, yet called. I have no seminary training, no college degree. I lack in the ability to write a book. Yet God has been relentless in pushing me to write this. I have been on the backside of the desert with God studying the Bible extensively for ten years and He has taught me some things. Angie Ward lives in Cartersville, Georgia with her youngest son Chip and her husband Tom Ward.
