The book explores the profound significance of smiles as vital forms of expression, affecting attractiveness and social dynamics. It sheds light on the limited attention smiles have received in orthodontic literature despite their paramount importance to patients. The primary treatment goal is to achieve stability, functional occlusion, and facial harmony, but most assessments have traditionally focused on skeletal structure, neglecting soft tissue .This book delves into the shifting paradigm of modern orthodontics, which emphasizes the role of soft tissue in achieving optimal occlusal relationships while enhancing facial aesthetics. It recognizes the increasing patient interest in facial esthetics in a culture where physical attractiveness holds immense social value. One of the most critical facial features in predicting attractiveness is the smile, making it a central theme . The complex anatomy of a smile, involving muscles, teeth, gums, lips, and the negative space between teeth. Understanding this intricate anatomy becomes imperative for informed decisions about oral health and aesthetic goals ,as it significantly influences the overall appeal of a smile.

When she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer, writes Ananya Mukherjee, she was 'stunned and disappointed in myself but quickly found my resolve. I chose to fight cheerfully…with a deep belief and faith that I'd be okay.' Tragically, and for perhaps the first time in her life, her will could not overcome circumstances, and she lost the fight on 18 November 2018. But she left behind a host of memories for those who knew her, and a beautiful legacy for the world-an intimate and inspiring diary of her 'cheerful fight'. It is a book that makes light of the darker moments of cancer (comparing her balding head to the dishevelled crow on her windowsill); gives practical advice on gifts to bring a cancer patient (piping hot machcher jhol along with a good story or two); and gives an insight into what cancer patients dream of (a road trip to Jaisalmer and a gondola ride in Venice).Tales from the Tail End is a book of hope, courage, even sunshine-not only for those living with cancer, and their caregivers and loved ones, but for anyone determined to live life on her or his own terms despite adversity.Peeyush Sekhsaria's skilful sketches are a delightful accompaniment to the text.Part of the proceeds of this book will go to the Yuvraj Singh Cancer Foundation and the Muskaan Foundation for Road Safety.

An elevator (or lift) is a vertical transport vehicle that efficiently moves people or goods between floors of a building. They are generally powered by electric motors that either drive traction cables and counterweight systems, or pump hydraulic fluid to raise a cylindrical piston. Speech recognition is used in this book for operating the elevator system by just giving and matching the voice commands. So the push buttons need not be used. Voice commands like ¿one ¿, ¿twö and ¿three¿ are used to move the elevator to a particular destination floor. A seven segment display is used to indicate the destination floor number. Speech to text conversion is done on the voice signal which is the input of the smart elevator system to provide the input to the seven segment display. Passive infrared sensors are used to count the number of the people entering the elevator enclosure. It is used for avoiding overloading problem. A text to speech conversion module is used to provide voice alerts in ¿The Voice Based Smart Elevator System¿. The voice alert system specifies the destination floor number on reaching the respective destination floor
