How certain themes assume an importance and develop at certain times often resonates with debates of the past and to encounter them in the present offers something new. This work proposes that using Winnicott's work to think about themes of importance to practitioners is also a way of thinking about some of the preoccupations of psychoanalysis.

In 2009-2010, The Squiggle Foundation, whose aim is to stimulate interest in the work of Donald Winnicott, organized a series of lectures on the theme of 'the antisocial tendency. This title offers these lectures, exploring the relevance of Winnicott's reflections on the nature and sources, as well as the management, of 'the antisocial tendency'.

This accessible and clearly written book provides a unique introduction to Green's work and its relation to the work of D.W. Winnicott, as promoted by the Squiggle Foundation itself. The Squiggle Foundation has as its goal "to study and cultivate the tradition of D.W. Winnicott", and has achieved an international reputation in doing so.

This volume in the Winnicott Studies series is dedicated to the life and work of Marion Milner and reflects, in varying ways, her unique use of Winnicott's work to shape her own thinking about art and creativity. Among the papers here are contemporary reviews of Milner's books by both Winnicott and the poet W.H. Auden.
