This book contains the transcripts of the lectures presented at the NATO Advanced Study Institute on "Electrons in Finite and Infinite Structures," held at the State University of Ghent, Belgium, August 30-September 11, 1976.

The fifth Advanced Study Institute (ASI) on Techniques and Concepts of High Energy Physics was held again at the Hotel on the Cay, in the scenic harbor of Christiansted, St. Croix, U. As in the ca se of the previous ASI's, the scientific program was designed for advanced graduate students and recent PhD recipients in experimental particle physics.

A draft of these discussions could not be added in printed form because of the 1 imitations set by the total page number of this volume, but to give at least an idea of the problems touched upon during these sessions, a 1 ist of the main contributors together with the title of the conribution discussed is given as an appendix.
