Denne bog rummer en faksimilegengivelse af den ekstremt sjældne førsteudgave af Die Kunst und der Raum fra 1969, hvor filosoffen Martin Heidegger arbejdede tæt med kunstneren Eduardo Chillida om at udføre et ganske enestående bogværk.Til bogen skabte Chillida, udover omslaget, syv litografiske collager. Heideggers egenhændige håndskrevne tekst blev ligeledes trykt litografisk. Resultatet er en ualmindelig intens dialog mellem tekst og billede. Denne originaludgave er i dag uhyre sjælden og kostbar. Forlaget Wunderbuch har imidlertid fået rettighederne til at gengive dette klenodie.Kunsten og rummet indledes således med en faksimile af originalens litografiske værker af Chillida og Heideggers håndskrevne tekst. Oversættelsen af Heideggers tekst begynder med en dedikation han skrev til Chillida under deres arbejde. Herefter følger Heideggers tekst «Kunsten og rummet».

Det er en fortælling om de skøreste tegneseriehelte på landevejen, hvor hver kilometer kørt, er et angreb på dine lattermuskler - motorcykler er deres liv!1994 blev det store gennembrud for Holger Aue, som sender fyrene ud på deres benzin-gennemblødte eventyr, i form af den første tegneserie der ser dagens lys. Sidenhen er tegneserien blevet trykt i det Tyske tidsskriftet "Motorrad", som har ført den groteske humor til kultstatus. De fem skøre tegneseriefigurer fik hurtigt et voksende antal læsere, og går i den danske udgave, under navnene; Gustav Gedestyr, Robert Røgslør, Anthon Andenplads, Hans Hæsblæs og Kurt Tvebakke.

Bogens tre bind gennemgår omfanget af pompejansk udsmykkede interiører i private boliger og offentlige bygninger i Danmark i perioden fra 1830 til ca. 1890.De tre bind indeholder sammenlagt mere end 900 illustrationer, heraf langt de fleste i farver. Her præsenteres kunstnernes farvelagte dekorationsudkast, fremragende eksempler på periodens billedkunst, ældre fotografier af nu forsvundne ejendomme og dekorationer, samt fotografen Ole Akhøjs mange pragtfulde nyoptagelser af de bevarede udsmykninger fra perioden.Denne dekorationshistoriens storhedstid udfolder sig på baggrund af danske kunstneres og arkitekters studierejser til Italien, hvor de hentede ny inspiration ved udgravningsstederne i Napolibugtens forsvundne antikke byer og det kejserlige paladsbyggeri. Samtidigt vågnede de liberale og senere de nationalliberale frihedsbevægelser i Danmark, som afsluttede det enevældige kongedømme og skabte et konstitutionelt kongedømme, et folkeligt demokrati og en frihedsforsvarende grundlov. Disse to væsentlige hovedstrømninger i perioden – populært kaldet den danske guldalder – forenes i en kunstart, som beriger privatboligen med dekorationer og kunst, og opløfter de offentlige institutioner rundt om i landet med den "antikke" ånd.
