Bornholm er enestående på mange måder – øen har en eventyrlig og i dansk sammenhæng helt unik natur med ejendommelige bjerg- og jordarter samt sin helt egen kultur på en mageløs plads i Østersøen.Bornholm er en ø med meget at byde på og er samtidig et øland, der har så godt som alt – for man finder det hele på denne østdanske ø. Bornholms urtid og forhistorie går tilbage til oldtiden, og geologisk fra Jordens tidligste tider med eksempelvis fund af fascinerende dinosaurfossiler, gådefulde solsten og billedskønne guldgubber, frem til spændende middelalderborge og frihedskrige og op til industriens tider, som alt bæres til skue i denne bog.I bogen finder man også de små historier. De, som handler om rene bornholmske begivenheder og tildragelser, der spænder fra folkeeventyr, kunst, personer, kirker, hændelser, almuemål med mere – og de behøver såmænd ikke at være højtravende eller skelsættende. In 2020, it will have been twenty-five years since one of the greatest wildlife conservation and restoration achievements of the twentieth century took place: the reintroduction of wolves to the world's first national park, Yellowstone.
