Beskrivelse af Tylney Hall
Tylney Hall is a novel written by Thomas Hood, first published in 1834. The story is set in the mid-19th century and follows the lives of the residents of Tylney Hall, a grand estate in England. The main character is Lionel Haughton, a young man who inherits the estate from his uncle. Lionel is eager to take up residence at Tylney Hall and start a new life, but he soon discovers that the estate is haunted by a tragic past. The previous owner, Sir Walter Tyrrel, was murdered in the house many years ago, and his ghost is said to haunt the halls. Lionel also finds himself caught up in a love triangle with two women, Lady Emily Lorraine and Miss Louisa Mildmay. As he navigates the complexities of his new life, Lionel must confront the ghosts of the past and make difficult choices about his future. Tylney Hall is a classic Gothic novel that explores themes of love, loss, and the supernatural. It is a gripping tale that will keep readers on the edge of their seats until the very end. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
