The family is forced to move to a new town and start over, facing many challenges along the way.Throughout the novel, Goldsmith uses humor and irony to comment on the values and morals of society. The novel also explores themes of love, family, and the importance of virtue. The Vicar of Wakefield has been widely praised for its witty writing and satirical commentary on society.
