Based on a Policy Statement on Severe Accidents, the licensee of each nuclear power plant is requested to perform an individual plant examination. This document presents guidance for performing and reporting the results of the individual plant examination of external events (IPEEE). The guidance for reporting the results of the individual plant examination of internal events (IPE) is presented in NUREG-1335.
