Beskrivelse af Olney Hymns
Olney Hymns is a collection of hymns written by John Newton, a prominent English clergyman and hymn writer, and his friend William Cowper. The hymns are inspired by select texts of scripture, occasional subjects, and the progress and changes of spiritual life. The book was first published in 1779 and became a popular hymnal among evangelical Christians in England and America. The hymns cover a wide range of themes, including salvation, grace, repentance, and the love of God. Many of the hymns are still sung today, including ""Amazing Grace"" and ""Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken."" The book is considered a classic of Christian literature and has been reprinted numerous times. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
