Beskrivelse af Ladyfingers (1920)
Ladyfingers is a novel written by the American author Jackson Gregory and first published in 1920. The book is set in the early 20th century and follows the story of a young woman named Marjorie Wetherell, who is determined to make a name for herself in the world of business. Marjorie is the daughter of a wealthy businessman, but she is not content to simply live off her father's wealth. Instead, she sets out to start her own business, a bakery that specializes in making ladyfingers. Despite the skepticism of her family and friends, Marjorie is determined to succeed and puts all of her energy and resources into her new venture. As Marjorie struggles to establish her business, she faces a number of challenges, including competition from other bakeries, financial setbacks, and personal struggles. Along the way, she meets a number of interesting characters, including a handsome young man named Jack, who becomes her ally and confidant.Despite the obstacles she faces, Marjorie perseveres and eventually achieves success, both in her business and in her personal life. Ladyfingers is a heartwarming and inspiring tale of one woman's determination to succeed in a world that is often hostile to women entrepreneurs. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
