The management of metabolic steatopathy is based on hygienic-dietary rules. Our aim was to evaluate the impact of hygienic-dietary rules in the course of this hepatopathy. We conducted a prospective study, which included patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Dietary habits were assessed using a food history survey accompanied by a frequency questionnaire.Analysis of the dietary survey showed a mean total energy intake of 2815.93 kcal/d. Mean carbohydrate, fat and protein intakes were 57%, 31% and 12% respectively.Reassessment of patients, after a mean delay of 5 months, showed a reduction in weight, and improvements in liver, lipid and blood sugar levels. This variation was not significant. In conclusion, nutrition education and physical activity play an important role in the management of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

The main objective of the book was to analyze the relationship between the Klabin-PR pulp and paper industry and the Paraná environmental agencies ARH, SUREHMA and IAP in the conduct of the industry's environmental regulation process, within the time frame of 1970 to 2002. The end result was the realization that environmental regulation policy was born in a context of dependence on revenue from industry, as well as the need to hinder the development of these industries in order to achieve environmental protection objectives. Thus, the agency's relationship with the Klabin-PR industry was based on political interests that led to the environmental protection results proposed by the agency not being achieved. In this way, the institutional capacity of the public agency - hiring, professionalization, transfer of funds, modernization, among others - was unable to solve the environmental problems of the region of influence of Klabin-PR.

In order to comply with the new fiscal and tax requirements, companies have implemented SPED - the Public Digital Bookkeeping System. This study aims to verify the perception of companies regarding the implementation of SPED Accounting for the professionalization of small and medium-sized companies, on the premise that it will contribute to an improvement in the management of companies of this size. In order to answer the problem, it was deemed appropriate to collect data through forms, applying Pearson's correlation, using SPSS statistical software. The premise was confirmed, since in order to comply with legal requirements, companies had to improve internal processes and controls, train professionals and invest in ERP and accounting systems. Thus, the majority of those involved saw improvements in the management process and increased knowledge about the company's business. Another point highlighted in the survey was the lack of benefits from the implementation of SPED for companies with external accounting.

This book is the result of a survey that aimed to analyse the type of unconditional love defined by John Alan Lee with people who act for the good of others and people who act for themselves. Data was collected from 200 Likert-type questionnaires. The questionnaire consisted of 24 questions designed by Lee to define the type of love and 24 created by the researchers specifically to measure selfish behaviour. The answers were statistically analysed using Pearson's correlation. The data shows that those who practise unconditional love are the same people who act for the good of others in the positive belief that they will receive something in return. On the other hand, people who act in favour of themselves and always expect a short-term return for their actions did not correlate with any of Lee's six types of love. In conclusion, it is necessary for human beings to be helpful and friendly, what common sense calls "good people", because nobody wants someone close to them who doesn't have these qualities. Individuals who approach others and are perceived as wanting to take advantage, to "get along", are rejected.

The content of this book is a monograph presented to the State University of Bahia - UNEB, as a pre-requisite for obtaining a degree in Physical Education. The topic was chosen because it is being widely discussed in both academic and social circles, reaching global levels. Since Physical Education is an area of knowledge that studies body culture, it was thought that gender would have a major implication when it comes to bodily practices. With this in mind, it was decided that the study method would be to analyse the publications of one of the most renowned journals in the field of Physical Education, RBCE (Revista Brasileira de Ciências do Esporte). In order to observe how much the publications deal with the theme of gender in relation to Physical Education.

The aim here is to demonstrate that emptiness, absence, the hollow or the invisible, perceived in contemporary art, are passwords or channels for reflection on the field of immanence. Emptiness in art can be related to an existential void that cuts through the subject and tries to take shape through artistic endeavour. This emptiness can be seen as the primordial lack seen in psychoanalytic theory. What at one moment is a continent, like the void that bathes the world, in the potter's metaphor is contained, embraced - as Romagnolo's hollow sculptures do - they embrace the void, and at another moment it is referenced, indicated - as in Regina Silveira's shadows. In my work, emptiness is the subject and the motif.

Since flexible packaging made from synthetic plastic has become an environmental problem because it is not biodegradable, the use of natural polymers in the production of biodegradable materials has been an alternative. Biodegradable films can be produced mainly from polysaccharides, in particular starch. The aims of this work were to extract the starch present in the rhizomes of the Hedychium coronarium plant, characterize it and use it to make biodegradable films. The physical and chemical properties of the starch and the films produced were evaluated. The films showed degradation in around 45 days. The application of starch films as a vehicle for vitamin C showed that the loss of mass and active ingredient will depend on the composition of the biodegradable films.

Benefits of MOS in conservation management systems: Physical (structure and aggregation) forming larger structures that favor the root system of cultivated plants.Chemical: By improving the CEC of soils, complexing exchangeable aluminum and reducing the adsorption of P. This is especially helpful in Brazil's tropical soils.Biological: Promotes soil microbiota and enzymesSoil management involving mechanical intervention (plowing, harrowing, scarification, etc.) breaks up soil aggregates, macro- and micro-aggregates, increasing the area of exposure of MOS to microbial attack. In addition, with greater aeration, micro-organisms attack this MOS more easily and contribute to its mineralization.  Grass residues have a higher C/N ratio, often above 30/1, which is why the balance between immobilization and mineralization tends towards microbial immobilization, until this C/N ratio becomes narrower, at which point this balance will tend towards mineralization. Soybean waste has a narrower C/N ratio, below 20/1, which makes mineralization the predominant process

The aim of this research was to analyse the knowledge that public school students in Serra Talhada have about amphibians and reptiles, especially with regard to their classification, biology and ecological importance. A semi-structured questionnaire was used to carry out the research, and the data obtained was compiled in Excel spreadsheets which served as a tool for producing tables and graphs. According to the results obtained, it can be seen that the participants in the research have considerable knowledge about amphibians and reptiles, however, there is still the influence of certain legends that make up this learning, and it is necessary to elucidate these themes within the science disciplines, especially in the early grades, as well as bringing students closer to the reality that surrounds them, through changes in the profile of science classes, confronting scientific and traditional knowledge.

Quail farming is the raising of quails to produce eggs or meat. Quail farming is relatively new, especially in Brazil, which is why many people are still unaware of it. Although we don't have the tradition that has been consolidated in European countries, we already have large producers and top-level researchers in this area of knowledge. Our producers and researchers conduct production or experiments following instructions and procedures that guarantee the quality of the products, the seriousness of the results and the replicability of the work. In this context, we have written this book as a guide, a support tool, aimed at zootechnical, veterinary and agronomic students, as well as technicians and producers, but we hope it will be read by all those who work with and love these birds. It is a summarised book that will help to describe the main points of quail breeding for meat and/or laying in terms of production and nutritional management. With this book, the reader will be able to better understand everything from the characteristics of this bird to how to use the scientific methodology techniques employed in quail farming research.

The book presents a socio-environmental diagnosis of the traditional fishing community of Barra do Superagui, located in the Superagüi National Park, on the northern coast of Paraná. The review of theoretical studies sought to emphasise the environmental impacts caused by anthropogenic actions such as the extraction of biotic and abiotic resources and disorderly occupation of coastal and marine areas. The field research used participatory methodologies, qualitative and quantitative semi-structured questionnaires, as well as direct observation and informal reports. The results obtained in this research show internal conflicts within the group under study, resulting from individualistic behaviour, lack of engagement and cooperativism. These factors prevent the group from organising itself to claim the rights to its territory, as well as the lack of integration between the institutions responsible for the mosaic of conservation units on the coast of Paraná. In the end, it is argued that the National Plan for Agroecology and Organic Production - PLANAPO, with its guidelines, goals and objectives, fits perfectly with the current configurations of this territory.

The work I'm presenting to you is about the children of the Aninga community in Parintins, Amazonas. Aninga has an immeasurable wealth of natural, cultural and social diversity. It is against this backdrop that the author sets herself the challenge, as a researcher with children, of a proposal that values the participation of riverside children through their experiences, encounters with nature and their ways of transposing spaces in the construction of new places. In fact, this work consists of a real listening to children's voices, in which the researcher tries to show that: children connected with nature "project" the green of the Amazon and teach us the importance of listening to their voices, in an attempt to change the adult-centred paradigm towards an understanding of children as producers of culture, while also highlighting the formation of science knowledge among children in a rural school. We are pleased to be launching this book, as we are convinced that it represents an enriching contribution to the needs of children and childhoods lived in different ways. For this reason, it is an essential project for education.

This research is a case study in Vila do Paricatuba, located near the city of Manaus in the state of Amazonas. Its general objective is to apply the use of a biodecomposter as an alternative for the reuse of domestic organic waste in an isolated community, with the following specific objectives: To define the community and the number of families to be affected by the project; To diagnose the socio-economic situation of the families involved in the project; To develop a biodecomposter suitable for the region; To analyze the results in the community following the introduction of the biodecomposter. The theoretical foundation is based on dialectics, divided into three parts. The first deals with composting, the second with solid waste management and the third with environmental education, recognizing three dimensions when analysing, developing or changing waste management: a) the stakeholders; b) the elements or phases of the movement or flow of materials; c) final disposal. The research has an analytical theoretical process and is qualitative documentary. As a result, there was a reduction in organic waste disposed of in the environment, a change in habits and behavior.

Concerns about the quality of the information we pass on to our clients and how it is assimilated has led to the development of strategies that facilitate the transmission of messages, which raises the question: Can visual information in the media help nurses and be a strategy for guiding clients about the Totally Implanted Central Venous Catheter (CVC-TI) for clients undergoing chemotherapy? The development of an informative health media product requires responsibility and multi-professional action. This work emerged from the clients' main doubts and was carefully produced using all the research protocols not only to identify the need but also to produce the final product. The core of this multimedia consists of information and a visual support, the latter being what makes the message visible. The communication support is visual, made up of structure, shape, module, texture, color and movement, which are transcribed into encrypted messages. Non-verbal reading also plays a part in the material, as one of the mechanisms for producing meaning integrated with other domains of knowledge, acting on the individual's culture.

The Street Clinic (CnaR) is a programme offered by the Unified Health System (SUS) and was approved in 2011 through the National Primary Care Policy (PNAB) with Ordinance 2.488/11. The aim of this study was to investigate the practices of the CnaR service from the perspective of the professionals who make up the team in the city of Aracaju, SE. In the field research, qualitative data was collected through semi-structured interviews with 6 professionals who made up the team. The aim was to understand how the work of these teams has been carried out, especially from an interdisciplinary perspective; what challenges they face; and what the common demands of users are. As a result, it was possible to capture congruences between the professionals' statements, identifying core and field practices within the expanded clinic, with the formation of bonds between professionals and users, but challenges were also perceived in terms of articulation with the network and bureaucracy. Based on this investigation, a critical reflection can be made within the country's public health system, comparing the theory of the documents that established the Unified Health System in Brazil with the practice in its status quo.

The aim of this work is to propose a methodology for the assessment and continuous improvement of sustainability, by combining the tools Sustainability Barometer, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and 5W2H. The central problem is the lack of a methodology to help assess the level of sustainability, prioritize the items assessed and formulate an action plan to help raise the level of sustainability in a given region. The relevance of the study lies in providing the possibility of using a tool aimed at the assessment and continuous improvement of sustainability and in highlighting the possibility of benefits for end users and society, translated into greater efficiency in decision-making.

This work revisits a first edition, after learning of its conceptualisation in academic circles, a fact that generated reflection, and shows the evolution on some fronts of education and the unleashing of new projects from this seed, which we have continued to water, and with our hands in the dough during these ten years, including Bidanza and Biocentric Education as tools that have underpinned social projects. In this book, we will use the names Biodanza as registered in Spanish and Biodança, translated into Portuguese. We have tried to adapt the nomenclature of the exercises used in the Biodanza meetings for children during this project to the nomenclature indicated in the regulations for Biodanza facilitator/teacher training courses. As the focus of studies on learning and inclusion is currently centred on the expression of potential, we have adapted the subtitle of the book in an attempt to highlight this important paradigm shift.

The most important legal advance in Europe following the French Revolution was the abolition of class privileges. The equality of all men before the law was the essential innovation of the new liberal regime. It ensured the disappearance of corporate and feudal privileges. From now on, everyone would be treated on an equal legal footing. People's rights and obligations would no longer vary according to their "social condition". Instead of class rights, common law will apply to all. This common law is the general law of a country that applies to everyone, without exception. Which is the body of legal rules applicable to all situations that are not subject to special or particular rules, such as adjectives that agree in gender and number, e.g.: un homme menteur/ une femme menteuse. Hence the origin and growth of social law. The aim of this law is known for its financial policy for employees, workers and the self-employed. To this end, it generally concerns the fight against discrimination and classism. Protecting the interests of working citizens.

Having emerged in the 1950s as a possible response to the challenges of competition, intelligence is now considered an autonomous discipline, whose essential purpose is to contribute effectively to the organization's objectives. Beyond this role, it represents the ideal weapon for meeting the challenges of the environment, whose risks and dangers must be guarded against, while opportunities must be seized. For this vital mission, intelligence has tools and methods at its disposal, which are rapidly evolving with the pace of technological change. And even if its epistemology has yet to be developed, intelligence is a widely recognized activity today. Its successful implementation, however, depends not only on the commitment of the players involved, but above all on its organization, which must encourage collaborative work and optimal use of resources. The intelligence manager is the driving force behind this organization, on which the success and longevity of the company largely depend.

Ageing is a normal process of the human body. The way the individual ages is initially determined by the beliefs stored in their memories, at all levels - from cellular to conscious, which favors exposure to external factors, facilitating the development of diseases or disabilities. This book addresses the compromises of this process and its repercussions on the physical body, as well as movement-based physiotherapy techniques to treat it. Movements are extremely important for the body, as they activate our energy potential, stimulate biological tissues, functionality and areas of the brain for a proper lifestyle. This production is suitable for anyone interested in this topic, as well as health professionals and patients with osteoarticular diseases.

This work presents a methodological proposal for teaching and learning the specific skills of handball that can guarantee a greater possibility of enjoyment and participation for players. This requirement arises from my work as a teacher in higher education, where I was able to see the need for changes in the methodologies applied to teaching the specific motor skills of handball, as I realised that the rigour of teaching technique, in a traditional way, did not reach the students' understanding of the practice and theory of the specific skills in an enjoyable way. The development of handball teaching, according to the proposition we advocate, contains three distinct but interconnected moments: playful, referential and technical.

The main objective of today's freight transportation scenario is to meet the needs of customers in terms of time, cost, information and quality, and one of the modes of transportation that is a benchmark worldwide in terms of customer satisfaction is water transportation. The process in the distribution chain that deserves a lot of attention is the movement of the goods being transported, because it is the stage of this whole process where we add quality to the service provided. In Brazil, and specifically in the state of Amazonas, there is a greater incidence of river transportation due to the fact that there is a rich and extensive waterway potential in the region in question, as well as the absence of other modes of transportation. In this context, the municipality of Parintins is located in the interior of the state, as it is an island and the city is restricted to just two modes of transport, river and air. Because it is the cheapest and most viable mode of transportation in the municipality, companies choose river transportation to obtain and transport their goods.

The purpose of this study is to verify the impacts produced by vehicle traffic in the tourist resort of Ilha Solteira-SP, using information on users of the main modes of urban transport. The city has an estimated population of 26443 inhabitants, with a fleet of 16,000 motorised vehicles and approximately 28,000 bicycles (IBGE, 2016). The method consists of collecting data on a representative sample of the city's population that has been divided into 12 circulation zones, whose simplified representation of the information, produced with the aid of graphs and origin-destination matrices, is determined according to the movement present in each of these zones. Thus, in order for user comfort to be guaranteed and impacts (both environmental and social) to be reduced, the study of the current transport network is necessary as much as the application of compensatory measures to encourage the most suitable mode of transport for the needs of the municipality's residents. Keywords: Modes of transport. Urban mobility. Origin-destination matrix.
