  As an aspiring public speaker, I came to this book hoping to find something that I could use to concretely help me towards my goal. After reading The Breakthrough Speaker, I can say without hesitation that I got a ton of actionable advice and tools that will help me on my path. Poswolsky doesn't make it sound easy, necessarily, to become a paid speaker, but I was impressed by the sense that he shared honestly about everything that it would take to become a success in this business. It also helped that he's a good, clear, well-organized writer -it's easy to engage with his text and enjoyable to hear him educate about what needs to happen in order to move further along the path. I'd recommend this book to anyone hoping to break into speaking. And as a bonus, it's culturally wise, heralding diversity within the speaker business - this feels important for this present moment.

  Finally, a book about social skills that's actually useful. This book is a quick read, but manages to cover the most essentials aspects of social skills. I could relate to most of the topics covered and found several good advices. I would recommend reading it a few times simply to absorb the content efficiently, as the chapters are packed and quite dense. This is a must read for those who need to improve their social skills.

  This is a must read book for anyone and everyone. It gives you various tips and methods to speed up your learning process and thus make you feel like a genius. Genius is indeed a heavy word and is usually correlated with natural talents but this book will make you feel otherwise because it helps everyone and the word genius is used in a vague sense. Some of the techniques in the book were very useful to me like speed reading.
  Overall, I highly recommend this book.
