A Year of Hope

Our world seems to be drowning under the influence of technological advances and instant messaging. From this "progress" comes an inundation of the thoughts of others. Many times these messages are impulsive and lacking in wisdom or civility. A Year of Hope offers readers an opportunity to return to some of the older forms of wisdom such as scripture and the words of leaders including Martin Luther King, Jr., Nelson Mandela and Black Elk. Also included are excerpts from inspiring hymns and remarkable stories of "common folks." There is a chapter for each week of the year, beginning with Advent, the four weeks preceding Christmas. However, none of the chapters need to be read in sequence. May they accompany you on your spiritual journey.
